Where strong English actually gets you
Studying and living abroad
Every year Thai students go abroad to study, to the USA, the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and across Europe. For most of them the hardest part of the application is the English requirement, so it is worth starting on that early. English matters just as much once you arrive, when you are finding somewhere to live, opening a bank account and trying to make friends in your first week.
Working in English
Whatever you end up doing, some of it will happen in English. That is already true in Bangkok, where most large employers work across borders. You do not have to pick a career now, but the English you build now is the English you will be using then.
IGCSE, IB and SAT
International schools here run several different systems. IGCSE English alone comes in three versions, First Language, Second Language and Foreign Language, and IB and SAT ask for different things again. We hold the materials for all of them, so once we know what you are working towards we can help with your coursework and homework as well as the exams.
If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.
You know more than you think
You already use more English than you think: games, videos, lyrics, most of what you scroll through. All of that counts.
