Japanese for Children

Children learn in a natural way, getting amazing results. We believe their education needs to be about having fun and using the language in a natural way.

The Modulo programs and teaching methods were developed with this in mind especially for six to twelve-year-olds. We offer two different programs; Let's Go for General English and Cambridge's YLE for English Testing.

Our Programs

The language experts at Modulo have selected these amazing courses just for you.

Oxford's Let's Go

Oxford's Let's Go logo

This our most popular English language course for children. Millions of children around the world have learned to speak English through the trusted methodology of Let’s Go.

Success from the very beginning

Maximise children’s talking time in class through dialogues, pair work and communicative games. This combined with the rhythm and melody of the acclaimed Carolyn Graham songs makes the language memorable.

Camdridge's YLE test

Cambridge's YLE test logo

Cambridge Young Learners English Tests (also known as YLE) is one of the Cambridge English Language Assessment tests targeted at children aged between seven and twelve.

The YLE made easy

The course is designed for English learners from Prathom 1 to 6 and Matthayom 1 to 3. At each level, the examination is divided into Reading and Writing, Listening and Speaking.

The Let's Go course

Successful from the very beginning

The Let's Go series is comprised of 7 levels. It starts at the very foundations of the language, such as the alphabet and phonics all the way to fluent conversation. It's a great preparation for the future and will help all children achieve big things at school and also in life!

Book

Our students use the Student's Book in class and the Workbook at home. We also provide a wealth of other materials to complement our lessons.

Teachers

All our instructors are fully qualified and experienced native-English speakers. They're fun, too!

Audio

We also use audio CDs to practice listening and to teach our students fun and interesting songs specially composed for this course.

CEFR

Modulo follows the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for assessing your language skills.

It's a guideline used to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages across Europe and, increasingly, in other countries. Its main aim is to provide a method of learning, teaching and assessing which applies to all languages in Europe. The six reference levels are becoming widely accepted as the European standard for grading an individual's language proficiency.

  • A1/A1+ | Let's Go 1/2
  • A2/A2+ | Let's Go 3/4

The YLE course

Giving children a head start in English

The examination has three different levels: Starters (A0 level from the CEFR), Movers (A1 level from the CEFR) and Flyers (A2 level from the CEFR). The division of levels is according to ability, rather than age. Therefore, it is possible for a six-year old child to acquire the full marks in the Flyers Exam.

1

Starter

Young Learners English: Starters introduces children to everyday written and spoken English in a fun and motivating way.

2

Movers

Young Learners English: Movers is a great way to help children build on their language skills and make further progress in English.

3

Flyers

Young Learners English: Flyers is a great way to show children can deal with everyday written and spoken English at a basic level.

Why learn Japanese?

Worldwide, Japanese is spoken by over 120 million people, making it one of the most commonly spoken - and useful - languages in the world. Japane has long been a global leader of industry and culture, and it will be that way for a long time to come. Furthermore, Tokyo always ranks near the top of most-visite cities, so learning the basics of Japanese before taking a trip to the land of the rising sun is certianly worth your time.

All over the world

While the majority of Japanese speakers are in Japan, there are thriving Japanese communities in nearly every major city in the world. Moreover, the percolation of Japanese culture globally has meant there has never been a better time to study this unique and wonderful language.

Working in Japanese

The demand for business people who know Japanse is always sky high. Speaking even a little bit of Japanese can enhance your hiring potential in large, multi-national organisations such as Toyota or Sony. Japanese companies almost exclusively keep upper-management as Japanese natives, so to effectively communicate with the decision makers of the company - and to get a leg up - learning Japanese couldn't be of more value; invest in yourself.
Furthermore, if you dream of one day living and working in Japan, then studying now is crucial. Most people in Japan only speak Japanese, so integrating into society will be challenging unless you can converse freely with locals. Modulo will help!

Japanese at Modulo

Shibuya Crossing street

Japanese is a language shrouded in mystery. Though some historians believe it may share a common ancestry with Korean or Altaic, this is widely debated. One thing's for sure though: studying Japanes is immensely rewarding and interesting!
Whether you are just learning for fun, or have a very specific target to aim for, we have the right course for you.

Modulo will ensure you get what you want
